I’m low key concerned that maybe some people have… LOL.
BUT
Finally! I have book news!
I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again. This year has been a tough writing year for me. Inspiration has been harder to come by… or maybe it’s the motivation. The publishing world has changed drastically since I first began in 2011. I almost feel like I’m starting over in many respects. Its been a bit daunting to me and that sort of zaps my creativity. So because of that I’ve only published one book so far this year (Mr. Fantasy – have you read it?!) but now I have another one completed and I’m ready to share!
Fun fact about MOTH TO A FLAME…. I actually started this book in 2017. I had a cover reveal for it and everything… then I put it on the back burner and got distracted with other books. I’ve never had a cover reveal for a book and then NOT released it. It was always sort of there in the back of my mind haunting me….
Anyway, I only had about 6,000 words written of it so when I started thinking about it again, I was basically starting at the beginning. I’d been wanting to write a book with a serial killer and this seemed like it could be a good fit. So I came back to it, expanded the story and wrote MANY pages of notes and worked out the entire plot…. and now 100,000 words later it’s done! (It’s a LONG one!)
This book was a real bran-bender to write. The plot require math… which basically almost killed me. Don’t ever say I don’t ever do nothing for my readers cause y’all…. I did math for you.
Anyway, this story has a lot of elements in it that I really love:
-Suspense
-Romance
-Mystery
-80’s horror vibe (at times)
-A strong heroine with a disability
-A hot male lead (who is Hollywood royalty)
-A faceless killer.
