I want to welcome Tish Thawer today to the blog. Tish has recently published her first PNR novel titled, Scent of a White Rose. Aside from a kickin’ cover and a fabulous blog tour and novel she is also a superb lady and business woman. I posted my review for Scent of a White Rise yesterday and you can find it on the homepage of this site!! Today Tish is here to tell us about her favorite music and to lead you to a fantastic giveaway with a huge prizepack so just do what the nice lady author says and enjoy!!!!
Let’s meet Tish:
About Tish:
I’m Tish Thawer and am currently working on The Rose Trilogy, a paranormal romance that features a young woman named Rose, and Christian, the vampire who loves her.
Before becoming a writer I worked as a computer consultant, a photographer, and a graphic designer. I also operate a custom glass etching business, in addition to being a wife and mother of 3 wonderful children.
I’ve been a fan of the paranormal for as long as I can remember. Anything to do with superpowers, myth and magic has always held a special place in my heart. From my first paranormal cartoon, Isis, to the phenomenon that is Twilight, this genre has always been a part of my life. Thanks for joining me on this magical journey.
A common FAQ: “How do you pronounce your last name?”
Answer: Think “Bower” or “Thow-er”. It’s Persian!
And now I will hand things over to the Author of the Day!!!
First of all, I’d like to thank Cambria for hosting a stop on my blog tour. I had so much fun doing the blog talk radio show with her and Cassie, (Amy you were missed), and I’m so honored to have my book featured here, so Cambria…thank you very much!
Now, since I’m sure everyone is tired of reading about me in all of my author interviews, I thought it’d be nice to liven things up bit. In a previous guest post I wrote about how I don’t really have a “writing process,” which is true, so today we’re going to talk about what it is that I do when I get bogged down. (Yes, you know it happens to us all.)
When my characters stop talking to me, or I find myself asking, “What do I see happening next?” repeatedly–then I know it’s time to take a break. (And hey! No snide remarks about me hearing voices in my head–it’s completely normal.) :p
Anyway, what keeps me inspired and gets me back on track is music.
I don’t listen to it as I’m writing, but I do have a few favorites that I played repeatedly when I needed to get the juices flowing again. So for my guest post today I thought we could rock out to some of the videos that I love and that helped to keep me inspired while writing Rose and Christian’s story! Enjoy!!
Avril Lavine – Wish You Were Here
Christina Perri/A Thousand Years
Hot Chelle Rae/Tonight Tonight
I’d like to say thanks again to Cambria for having me here today, and now don’t forget to find the smoking roses and follow them to leave a comment for the Treasure Hunt. Tell me how many roses you found today and where you were when you found them. Here is the link to leave your comment : http://www.tishthawer.com/contact.html
Thanks for playing,
~ Tish Thawer
