Here is a look at the book that we are talking about today:
Synopsis (provided by GoodReads):
Zach Kalusky, host of Sci-D TV’s Xavier Paranormal Investigators, is ecstatic when he’s given the opportunity to explore the most haunted site in Chicago for a Halloween Special: Rosewood Asylum, a place long made off-limits by the local government, plagued by decades of mysterious fires and unexplained events. It’s Zach’s dream investigation- but there’s a catch: the network forces Xavier Paranormal Investigators to partner with the more dramatic-but less ethical-Demon Hunters. Now, Zach must fight for both his show’s integrity and his team’s loyalty while trying to protect his own secret: that he, himself, is possessed.
Here a quick look at the author:

And now onto the interview
1. Your book Ghosts of Rosewood Asylum is about a man who is possessed but not the kind of possessed most people probably think about automatically (like the exorcists, lol) can you tell us a little about the main character?
Well sure, but Zach is pretty much like every other 20-something who’s possessed by the spirit of his dead uncle…
🙂
Zach Kalusky had a difficult childhood, a combination of his affliction and a rather challenging relationship with his parents. Fortunately, he connected early with the parish priest (a non clichéd priest…i.e. a good one) who helped him control his gift/curse and contributed to his formation as a person. Thus he turned out an uncharacteristically charismatic straight-laced guy that almost everyone likes and responds well to. And yes. I wrote this book and had this character developed LONG BEFORE I’d ever heard the name “Tim Tebow.”
2. How long did this book take to write?
Before you hate me for this, know that my other books took much longer. I wrote the first draft of GHOSTS OF ROSEWOOD ASYLUM in about 3 months. Editing took a few more. I ran it by beta readers and my agent and refined it. The whole process took about 7 or 8 months. This one flowed amazingly well.
3. What was the hardest part about writing this book?
Honestly, the hardest part about writing it was sitting down to the computer. From there it was fun. Now the sequel…that’s been the problem child. I’m over two years working on that baby.
4. You have just finished the sequel, what can you tell us about that?
Well “finished” is a relative term. I’d say I’ve got the first two drafts done. I’m sending it to my agent next week, so we’ll see what she has to say. TheAtchisonHaunting: After an automobile accident injures a team member, TV ghost hunters Xavier Paranormal Investigators must regroup and save a little girl possessed by an ancient evil.
5. Do you watch ghost hunting shows on TV? Do you think these shows are real or made up?
I do watch them. Not as much anymore since I don’t own a TV, but I did plenty of “research” before and during writing the first book. I believe most of it is real. I think the temptation must be great to embellish for the TV ratings. Therein lies the rub.
6. What’s one thing that most people probably don’t know about you?
In many ways, my life is an open book. I share on Facebook quite a bit. Okay here’s one and if anyone can help, I’d appreciate it. I’m looking for a new day job!
This or That interview:
Coffee or Tea? Coffee.
Spaghetti or Lasagna? Lasagna.
Adam Sandler or Jack Black? Sandler.
