I’m a terrible, no good author.

I FORGOT to post about #Junkie on my website. WHAT?! I blame it on the fact I was too busy focusing on the book and writing it and then with the holidays and not wanting to promote #Junkie to heavily during the end of December because I didn’t want it to get lost in the holiday fun.

But that’s over. Its time. Time to bring on 2016!

So allow me to introduce (yeah, you’ve likely seen this bad boy on my social media) to my first book of 2016: #JUNKIE

#Junkie is the first book in my new GearShark series. It is a spin off of the Hashtag series, but can be picked up and read without reading the Hashtag series. This book focuses on Drew and Trent (seen in the hashtag series) and their friendship turned romance. It is also a racing book :).

The cover is designed by Regina Wamba at Mae I Design and I have to say I absolutely love it. I feel like we really went all in for this cover and totally achieved something new and fresh. As you can see, #Junkie has the look of a magazine. This goes with the theme of the book because in the book GearShark is a racing magazine that Drew and Trent read. In the book Drew graces the cover of GearShark (hence the cover of the book) and has an article all about him in the magazine.

On the back we added our “staff”. This is so fun to me. I love this part. These are people on my team. The real people behind my books. My editor, formatter, designer and of course me. It is awesome to give them some credit and a face on the cover. I added the “ask our staff” thing because I’ve seen that in other magazines, I thought it was a really fun way to bring them in a little more and add some fun.

Now on to the book!

About #JUNKIE

Drew Forrester is a total adrenaline junkie.
His high of choice?
Cars.
The faster, the better.
He’s been making waves in Maryland’s underground racing circuit since he crossed the state line, and after speaking with him, we know he’s not hitting the brakes anytime soon.
So what exactly does it take to burn rubber and make a name for yourself in a world where the only rule is there are no rules?
You gotta be hungry…
You gotta have balls…
And you can never back down.
What’ve we learned here at GearShark?
Drew is all of the above.
We also know he’s got some secrets buried under his hood.
Secrets we think are loaded with octane and just might set the world of cars on fire.

  1. THIS IS AWESOME! I love the #HASHTAG books & I love M/M. I’m too excited about this #JUNKIE

  2. Oh my gosh!!! Almost here only a couple of hours left I’m screaming

  3. As a gay male writer whose heart is said – by others, just to be clear – to be pure ice, I feel I must comment: you just slayed me with this.
Perhaps there’s truth when people say I’m sort of cold, but I read this clinging hard to my kindle, a silly smile on my face various times, and wishing I would live that – this last one being the dominant trait in great books.
Since I write as well, I know just how much these sort of comments are needed. But tell me, when is the second one coming?

    Congratulations your great book.

    1. Author

      Hi J.H.!
Wow, thank you. This means more than you could know. And you are write these comments are needed and sometimes keep us authors going. You know how hard it can be to write, so thank you for saying this and thank you for taking the time out of your schedule to read this book. I’m so honored and humbled you enjoyed it so much.
I’m working on the next book, #Rev right now and I’m hoping to have it out in March.
Good luck with your own writing!

and p.s. heart of ice? I don’t think so. No one who writes can be made of ice. 🙂
