THE NEXT BIG THING BLOG HOP!!!!!!

What is a blog hop? Basically, it’s a way for readers to discover authors new to them.  I hope you’ll find new-to-you authors whose works you enjoy.  On this stop on the blog hop, you’ll find a bit of information on me and one of my books and links to three other authors you can explore!

My gratitude to fellow author Brenda Sparks for inviting me to participate in this event. You can click the following link to learn more about her work:http://www.brenda-sparks.com/blog.html

In this blog hop, I and my fellow authors, in their respective blogs, have answered some questions about our book or work-in-progress (giving you a sneak peek).  We’ve also included some behind-the-scenes information about how and why we write what we write: the characters, inspirations, plotting and other choices we make. I hope you enjoy it!

Please feel free to comment and share your thoughts and questions. Here is my Next Big Thing!

1: What is the working title of your book?

The title of my upcoming release (May 3rd) is Renegade.

Renegade-by Cambria Hebert wrap

2: Where did the idea come from for the book?

Renegade is the fourth and final book in the Heven and Hell series. I first got the idea for the series when I decided I wanted to write about a girl who was disfigured and who didn’t like what she saw when she looked in the mirror. Then I started thinking about how she got disfigured and the story grew from there.

3. What genre does your book come under??

It’s a Young Adult paranormal romance

4: Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition?

This is always the hardest question!! LOL. Okay so here is what I think:

Heven

I chose two actresses mainly because it’s really hard. LOL. I thought both these ladies looked the part.

#1 Hayden Pantierre

      hayden-panettiere-64562

#2 AnnaSophia Robb (she was in Race to Witch Mountain – I never saw that. And Soul Surfer)

 annasphia robb

Sam

Okay, so let’s face. Every hottie with good hair could play Sam. LOL. But here are a few of my favorite choices:

#1 Zac Efron

#2 Shiloh Fernandez – this seems to be a Fan favorite choice. Everytime I see a post about Sam on the blogs this is the pic they put up… so I am taking your lead fans….

Logan

#1 Max Thieriot I know nothing about this person’s acting, I just think he looks the part. LOL

Kimber

#1 Emma Roberts . okay, so I list her every time but she is perfect for Kimber.

Gemma – Gemma shows up in Charade the second book in the series.

#1 Vanessa Hudgens – she fits the look perfectly and I think she can act like a bad *ss when needed.

Cole –

Cole was the hardest person to pick. To be honest I think Taylor Lautner is good but I won’t pick him because to me he is Jacob and that’s it. SO… I got this name from my Editor Cassie. she liked him for Sam but then I saw a picture of him with dark hair and was totally sold for Cole.

#1 Randy Wayne (played Luke in Dukes of Hazard) – he has that football “all American” look.

 Airis

#1 Taylor Swift- she has a good look for this character 🙂

So those are my choices for the movie cast!!!

5: What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book?

Ummmm, I stink at writing one sentence synopsis of my books. I don’t have one. LOL. Yes, I am lame. How about this:

The toe-curling, spine tingling, edge of your seat, epic finale to the Heven and Hell series???

A bit much? I didn’t think so either. 🙂

6: Is your book self-published, published by an independent publisher, or represented by an agency?

Well in the beginning when Masquerade and then Charade came out I was with a small publisher, Otherworld Publications. But they closed down so I decided to go Indie. I don’t have an agent either, I just represent myself. 🙂

7: How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript?

The first draft of Renegade took about a month.

8: What other books would you compare this story to within your genre?

I don’t like to compare my books to others in the genre.

9: Who or what inspired you to write this book?

You know, when I started this series I just wanted to write a book about a girl who really didn’t like herself. Who was 16, afraid and not very strong. No that doesn’t mean she’s a weak whiner, lol. I wanted her to be one way in the beginning and then go through a journey of self discovery and realize that she is a lot more than she ever realized. Oh, and I wanted hot guys. Hot guys with abilities.  Who doesn’t love hot guys?

10: What else about your book might pique the reader’s interest?

Well since this is the 4th book in the series – I think a bonus is that there are 4 books and you can now read them all one after the other and not wait and bite your nails for the next one. Plus, I think there is a lot of emotion in this book and series. I like to think of it as a rollercoaster ride. 🙂 Oh and there’s a Dragon who’s favorite snack is Snicker’s bars. LOL
