Well today is an awesome day here at the blog!!! Why?! Because SUPER AWESOME Heather Hildenbrand is here today as part of her Blog Tour for her newest release in the Dirty Blood series. BLOOD BOND is book three in the series and the series just keeps getting better and better. If you haven’t read this then you are seriously missing out. You all know how much I love a werewolf and these books are FULL of them.

Excuse me while I howl…….. and drool……

……………

Okay, I’m back. I feel better. 🙂

Here is the Howl-tastic book we are talking about today:

And here is some info about the lady who wrote it:

Heather Hildenbrand was born and raised in a small town in northern Virginia where she was homeschooled through high school. She now lives in coastal VA, a few miles from the Atlantic Ocean, with her husband and two adorable children. She works from home, part time, as a property manager and when she’s not furiously pounding at the keyboard, or staring off into space whilst plotting a new story, she’s helping her husband with DIY projects in their home (he woodworks – she paints) or she’s lying on the beach, soaking in those delicious, pre-cancerous rays.

Heather loves Mexican food, hates socks with sandals, and if her house was on fire, the one thing she’d grab is her DVR player.

You can find out more about her and her books at www.heatherhildenbrand.blogspot.com

Now onto the GOODS! As part of the tour today I have a deleted scene between two characters in the book: Cambria and Derek…. Cambria you say?? Why YES I did!!! Yes, Cambria is named after me…. so YES, now you can see why this book is just so fabulous, I am in it. LMAO!!! Okay, I’m not the reason it’s fabulous. Heather and her writing is the reason, I just got lucky enough to be in it (won a contest) and…. I FINALLY got my a werewolf…. that’s right…. Derek is mine. 🙂

SO here is the deleted scene to enjoy:

“Eight ball, corner pocket,” Cambria announced.

She leaned over the table, her eyes narrowed in concentration. Derek watched her intently, taking the opportunity to appreciate the mysterious beauty slouched across the pool table across from him. She was snarky, feisty, and quick to anger, but in the short time he’d known her, she’d completely taken over his life.

He’d tried fighting it—for about five seconds. But then she’d said something, did he even remember what it was? Something about compelling Steppe to cross-dress as a means of revenge for what he’d said about Bailey. From that moment, he’d been hooked.

No one in his family had even given him a hard time for it, which surprised him. Cambria was a Hunter. He was a Werewolf. Then again, it wasn’t like he’d had many girlfriends. Maybe they were relieved he’d finally taken the risk.

Cambria’s eyes darted up and caught him staring. It jolted him out of his reverie and he straightened, frowning at being caught. She only grinned and repositioned herself for the shot. She drew back the pool stick and then jammed it forward. The cue ball struck the target and it sank into the pocket like a bullet. Cambria straightened and walked over to him, still smiling.

“You were staring at me,” she said.

He shrugged like it wasn’t a big deal. His pulse accelerated at her closeness. Why did she have to affect him like this? A guy couldn’t think …

“And?” he said, hoping it came out indifferent.

“And I like when you stare at me,” she said, her voice dropping low.

He resisted the urge to glance around. No one ever took notice of them in this place. It’s one of the reasons he and Wes liked it so much. Cord thought it was … how had she put it? Skeevy. That was it. She never came here.

He jammed his hands into his pockets and faced off with Cambria. She leaned closer so their faces were only inches apart. Her mouth dangled in front of him, inviting his to meet it. He didn’t back down.

“Does it make you nervous?” he whispered, enjoying the game they were playing despite his usual reserve.

“Yes,” she admitted.

That surprised him. He’d been sure she’d say no. This girl never ceased to surprise him. “Then why do you like it?” he asked.

“Because it means you aren’t looking at anyone else.”

His lips curved upward. “I can promise you this, Cambria Hebert: when you’re in the room, I’m not looking anywhere else but at you.”

She opened her mouth, no doubt ready with some flirty, snarky retort, but he didn’t let her get it out. Before she could form a sound, he swooped in and silenced her with a kiss.

 Wellllll….. that was HAWT.

excuse me while I go howl…. and drool……
