Hey everyone!

Today I am bringing some news about the Heven and Hell series. There have been/are going to be a lot of behind the scene changes in with the series and up until now I have been fairly quiet about it all.

I haven’t been quiet because it’s bad news – it’s not! Mainly I just wanted to be sure everything would go the way I thought… basically I was waiting to see if things would fall into place. I don’t like to make announcements to my fans and then change things again. When I tell you all something I want you all to be able to count on that as the final word. Lol.

Unfortunately in publishing sometimes things change – some things are out of my hands. (like how long it takes a book to get through the printer and show up for sale online – lol)

So, with that being said here is the news flash:

Back in June I got word from my publisher, Otherworld Publications that they were going to be closing their doors. Of course, I was bummed because I enjoyed working with them but then immediately I thought, where does that leave Heven and Sam? Where does that leave my books and the fans that are waiting for Tirade (book 3)?

I began thinking about what I wanted to do. Basically, I had two options:

 1) Find another publisher or agent

2) Publish the books on my own

I have been down this road before and obviously, I went with a publisher. But that publisher took a very long time to find. I went through a heinous (I love that word) amount of rejections to get to a yes. How many you ask? Well between Masquerade and my other unpublished series (a werewolf series) I have about 100 rejections (mostly from agents). It took 6 months to hear back from my current publisher with a yes. Maybe I could find another publisher faster this time around because I had some sales numbers to back me up but to be honest the idea of searching made me exhausted, LOL.

I started looking back into self publishing (I looked into it before I found my publisher – I was getting tired of hearing NO – lol) and that made me tired too. LOL. Hey, just keeping in real peeps.

Then, I got an offer from a publishing house that I knew – Actually I got 3 contracts from them. One for Masquerade, one for Charade and one for Tirade. I was excited and got to reading the contracts and while they were great contracts I just decided that it would be better for me to go my own way.

This is where I start singing “Go my own way…” excuse me while I dance….

Whew! I’m back. That was fun. Where was I… oh yeah, publishing.

So that’s what I decided. I have decided to republish the series under my name. As of TODAY Before, Masquerade, Between and Charade will not be on sale… they are taken down from Amazon, etc. (It makes me sad a little, lol).

BUT the books WILL be coming back up as soon as I can get them pushed through Amazon. It will only take me a few days. Then ALL the ebooks will be available again. The print versions of Charade and Masquerade will take a little longer for me to get through the printer but they will be coming back as well. J

This changes nothing with Tirade and Bewtiched my upcoming releases. They will still be out as planned, in paperback and ebook. I will be announcing the release dates later this week.

So if you would all please bear with me while I go through this transition I would very much appreciate it. I will update everyone when the books are back up and ready to buy once more!

Thank you all!

  1. Congratulations, Cambria! I’m very excited to read the rest of your books. 🙂 Good luck on this avenue. 🙂

  2. Yay! You’re going to do fab! I know it’s a ton of work but it’s so worth it! Holler if ya need anything!

  3. Good luck, Cambria! If you ever consider going back to a publisher, I know that Frank and Hydra Publications would be more than happy to have you! A handful of Lynn’s old authors (myself and Erin included) have recently signed with him. He is absolutely WONDERFUL. They’re new, but are definitely heading in the right direction. PLUS, Frank also owns a bookstore in addition to the publishing company.

I’ve signed Prince of Darkness with him, and he just sent me four more contracts for my short stories Murderous Regrets, Moon Spirit, Hell Bound (not previously released), and Hell’s Captive (also not previously released). I will be signing all four contracts tomorrow afternoon :). I will probably sign future The World Among Us titles with him.

  4. Congrats Cam! I seriously think with the right product and team this is the way to go! After selling 13,000 copies of the Alexa series with HD I can say she has made more of the profits then with a traditionally published contract! You have an awesome product and loyal fans and I wish you all the best!

  5. Different road, same distination… keep driving your tanks full.:)
