Hey Peeps!

So I am super excited to welcome a fabulous designer to my blog today. She is super talented and could make ratty old underwear that haven’t been washed in months look good. Her design talents are that far reaching… really. And if you don’t believe me look over there to the right——-> at all my covers on all my books because she designed them all.

I am talking about Regina Wamba designer, photographer and business owner. Her business is Mae I Design and if you ever need a cover, a blog header, a FB banner, photographs, a website… etc then she is your lady!

So without further delay here is Regina:

Hello Followers of Cambria! Thanks for having me back here once again!

As you know, I am a designer. I design covers, but I also design logos, and business cards, and marketing materials.. even as big as websites. I started this whole design adventure as an artist…a TRADITIONAL artist. You know? Like pencil and paper? Yep! That’s me!! I used to carry around my sketch pad everywhere! I’ve spent thousands of dollars on art supplies, and I’m a sucker for thin tip sharpie pens (they add the fine lines I need!!). I still go into art stores and drool over types of color pencils, water color paper and sketch pads.. sigh.. it makes me giddy. J

So? You ask what I’m doing here? Well, I thought I would share a little bit more about me than just the cover (ha! Pun intended).

A few things I love:

My kids. I swear, they all have these cute squishy faces, and I just like to bite them sometimes because you just can’t get over how cute they are. You know when kids are so cute you clench your teeth together? Yeah.. well the cure is to just bite every now and then, and you can diminish the urge for a while.

My husband. A shout out to the “man” of the house!! He’s just uuber supportive. Where the heck would I be without him? (without my squishy faced kids of course)

Photography. Gah. I LOVE taking pictures. I love capturing the essence of people. I love people. I love eyes. I love nature, and fog, and magic. Can I keep going? Are you bored yet? Anyhoos… I thought I would share some pics I’ve taken that I love. 🙂

Okay, enough. Enough. I know that’s not really what you stopped by to see.. soo.. here’s more. LOTS a visual treats for Cambria’s visual peeps. ( My attempt at rhyming. Fail.)

Are you a cover coveter like me? I absolutely can go to Barnes and Noble for fun JUST to look at covers! Ah, my main goal is to one day see my designs on the shelf? So, which author will it be?! I would take you all if I could.. I swear it!

Some covers I love.. And just to let you know.. of course I love Cambria’s covers but Cambria’s got those covers already showing  —————> to the right.. so… we’ll get on to some other one’s I have designed! 🙂

Okay, well, you can see all my covers on my facebook page, but I sure hope you enjoy those above! 🙂

So now I’m going to let you in on a little secret. Come closer now…come closer. Lean in. Are you ready? I’m going to whisper. (I like to cook.) SSSSSHHHH! Don’t tell anyone!

Okay, so I just made a big deal out of nothing. But the fact remains that I love to cook, and it happens to be one other LOVE I LOVE to do! So, I thought I would share with you a favorite recipe of mine. Now, I’m a kinda gal that likes to “eye” measure, so bare with me as I portion these ingredients out in my head! J

Bon Appetit moi “Comfort Food”!

Here’s what you’ll need for Wamba Burgers:

  1. 1 large onion, chopped
  2. 1 can of diced green chilies
  3. 2 pounds lean ground beef (90% lean)
  4. 1-1/2 teaspoons salt, (meh, whatever.. to the taste!!)
  5. Pepper (to your liking)
  6. Ritz Crackers (I usually use one whole cylinder thingy)
  7. Garlic powder (to taste. Ahem, I like garlic. A lot)
  8. Burger seasoning. Maybe a tablespoon.
  9. 2-3 eggs
  10. Beef bouillon cubes (2? Crushed)

    11.   Pepper jack cheese

     12.  6 hamburger buns, split

Mix 1-10 in a bowl. Make sure that the meat doesn’t fall apart. The crackers are what needs to hold them together.. heat up the grill, oven or frying pan and slow cook these babies.

Top with nothing or with pepper jack cheese if you like a kick. And enjoy! Gah, they are sooo good!

Thanks for having me! Enjoy your Wamba Burgers!
