Welcome to werewolf wednesday where the moon is always full and I am howling. Every single Wednesday I will be profiling a new werewolf from books, TV or movies. I might also mix it up a bit some weeks and throw in some other furry fun!! Please feel free to join and howl along with me every week!

This week I am profiling a hugely popular werewolf. Alas, I have not yet read the book series that he is in but I have watched the first season of the TV show he is in but he hadn’t yet entered onto the show so I am unfamiliar with his character. GASP! Why you ask? Why would I of all people, she who howls at the moon, not watch this show?? I will tell you.

I don’t have HBO.

LOL. Thats right, today’s werewolf is Alcide from True Blood. (Yes, I hear you all swwoning right now.) You are probably also asking how can I do justice to this howl worthy furry hottie without seeing him in action on TV or in the book? I called in the help of a friend and fellow blogger Cassie over at Gathering Leaves Reviews http://www.gatheringleavesreviews.blogspot.com who is a faithful True Blood watcher and has graciously agreed to fill in my profile sheet!!

So let’s get to howling!!!

Werewolf: Alcide

Series: True Blood (A TV show on HBO and also a series of novels by Charlaine Harris)

Love interest: Sookie Stackhouse, Debbie Pelt (in the book, Debbie is a shifter (jaguar?)–on the show, she is a werewolf)

What he drives:  A pickup truck (I can’t remember what kind- who cares what kind!!!).  He has a construction business (a family business), so he has to have something suitable for work.  On the show, it is a very nice truck, but I think in the book, it is actually a van…

Werewolf enemy in True Blood:  In True Blood and the books, he goes up against Cooter, Debbie’s new fiance.  On the show, he also has a run-in with Marcus, another shifter’s (who coincidentally starts dating Sam) ex-husband and the pack master of the local pack Debbie so desperately wants to join.

Characteristics:  Generally, Alcide is soft-spoken and well-tempered.  He is not prone to outbursts or violence, but when it is needed, he can be super fierce.  He is certainly protective and loyal.  Sookie is lucky to have him on her side, in more instance than one!

Why he’s so hot:  I mean, have you seen this guy?  He has a chiseled body and that mysterious, rugged, dark look.  Aside from his looks, he is a true sweetheart, a loyal friend, and a badass werewolf!

Here are a few pictures of Alcide to get you through the day:

I seriously need to get HBO.

He’s so howl worthy I give him 5 full moons. (did you really think that up there would get less??)

Again, HUGE thanks to Cassie over at Gathering Leaves for providing us with the drool worthy details!

Have a great Wednesday!!
